The Bee & Wasp Challenge in Broward County

South Florida's warm climate allows bees and wasps to stay active and nest year-round. From soffits and rooflines to sheds, fences, and landscaping, these pests build colonies close to homes and high-traffic areas. Disturbing a nest without proper equipment and training can trigger aggressive swarming, putting your family at risk.

Many species are also territorial and will return to the same nesting sites seasonally if the area isn't properly treated after removal. That's why safe removal and long-term prevention go hand in hand.

Protect Your Family from Stinging Pests

Stinging insects like bees, wasps, and hornets can pose serious safety risks, especially for kids, pets, and anyone with allergies. DIY removal is dangerous and often incomplete. Greg's Aggressive Pest Solutions offers professional nest removal and preventative treatments that protect your home and yard without harming beneficial pollinators. We handle the danger so you don't have to.

Common Stinging Insects in
Broward County

Not all stinging insects behave the same way, and the removal approach depends on the species. Here are the ones our technicians encounter most across Broward County.

Paper Wasps

Paper wasps build open nests under eaves and porch ceilings. They'll sting if disturbed and often rebuild in the same spot without proper treatment.

Yellowjackets

Highly aggressive, yellowjackets can sting multiple times and often nest underground or inside walls. Hidden nests make them especially dangerous to disturb.

Mud Daubers

Mud daubers build small tube-shaped mud nests on sheltered surfaces. They're not aggressive, but old nests can attract more dangerous species.

Carpenter Bees

Carpenter bees bore into wood to create nesting tunnels in decks, fascia, and pergolas. Over time, repeated drilling weakens wood and causes structural damage.

Hornets

Hornets build large enclosed nests in trees or on structures. They aggressively defend their colonies and can sting repeatedly.

Honey Bees

More defensive than typical honey bees, Africanized bees respond aggressively to threats near their hive. Heavy bee activity near walls or trees should always be handled professionally.

Our Expertise

At Greg's Aggressive Pest Solutions, we understand the behavior and risk factors of South Florida's most common stinging insects. Our licensed technicians are trained in safe nest removal, species identification, and preventative treatments. We handle paper wasps, yellowjackets, carpenter bees, hornets, and more. We're careful, fast, and always prioritize the safety of your family and property.

When possible, we work with local beekeepers to safely relocate honey bee colonies rather than exterminate them. Protecting pollinators matters, and we take that responsibility seriously.

How Our Bee & Wasp Removal Process Works

Every wasp/bee problem is different, and we treat it that way. Here's what to expect when you call Greg's Aggressive Pest Solutions.

1. Thorough Inspection

We begin with a detailed inspection of your property to locate all active nests and assess the level of risk around your home and yard. This allows us to identify high-traffic areas, nesting patterns, and potential hazards before treatment begins.

2. Species Identification

Next, we identify the exact species involved, since each requires a different control approach. Based on the species and nest location, we determine whether the situation calls for removal, relocation, or targeted treatment for safe, effective resolution.

3. Safe Nest Removal

Our technicians use professional protective equipment and species-appropriate methods to remove nests safely. For ground-nesting species like yellowjackets, we treat the colony directly at the entry point. For aerial nests, we remove and dispose of the structure after treatment to prevent recolonization.

4. Preventative Treatment

After removal, we treat common nesting sites around your home including eaves, soffits, door frames, and fence lines to discourage future activity. We also identify and seal entry points that could allow stinging insects to nest inside wall voids or attic spaces.

Do I Need To Be Home For Service

Are Your Products Safe For Kids & Pets?

Yes. We use EPA-registered, professional-grade treatments that are applied with care by licensed technicians. We recommend allowing the product to fully dry and ventilate the area before reentry by children or pets.

What Happens If I Still See Bugs After Treatment
If covered pests show up between monthly visits, just give us a call — we’ll come back and treat the problem area at no extra charge. That’s part of our satisfaction guarantee.
Is There A Contract Or Cancellation Fee?

No contracts for the monthly plan — you can cancel anytime with no fees. For the yearly plan, we offer a discounted rate upfront. If you choose to cancel early, we'll simply pro-rate the months used at the standard monthly rate and refund the difference.
